Born,Brighton,UK. 1952, from Spanish immigrant parents,both from Atarfe,Granada.
At the age of 12,my father took me to the Brighton Museum where I saw surrealist works,from the Edward James collection.These included Magrittes Red Model and Dalis Swans reflecting elephants.They were fantastic,I was totally mesmerised and enthralled.At that early age,I new that I had to express my thoughts and imagination through art...Ive been drawing and painting ever since.
As luck would have it,the art teacher,Mr Gordon Faulkner,at my new school,was a Dali lookalike,moustache as well,He was brilliant,encouraging,inspiring and guiding me in the realms of Art.The following years where full of creating, art,visiting museums and galleries,experimenting different techniques etc.
In 1993,as a family,immigrated to Almeria,Spain where I have lived and worked since.
In 1996 I was diagnosed as having Multiple Sclerosis,although had suffered symptoms from a very early age.At the moment I am confined to a wheelchair and painting with left hand,due to the progression of the illness.
My technique and production rate has changed greatly,but my need and desire to create Art, will never diminish,...at the moment I am ''struggling'' with physical limitations,but creating some of my best works... … Read More
