Miriam Sweeney is an Irish artist who has based herself in the east coast of Dublin for the past 25 years. Prior to that, she had a monadic childhood that included living in Iran.

Jane Grant this really reaches out.....different connotations easily translated according to the viewers mood, I love the suggestion of hidden power with the breast hidden, but the hooves evident.
Laurence Winram Well done! Congratulations on your win. I love your piece. I'm much happier coming second to your image than to the the abstract you were up against. I don't know if we have to go to London now... maybe see you there!

Callie Butler Goodrich i left a message a minute ago-i hope you have seen it, Miriam...naturally, i wanted to congratulate your winning this recent Showdown...when i voted for the various pieces and ultimately came to your piece i was so pleased just looking at it...very beautiful work....
Maggie Piu I congratulate a great idea ... I invite you to vote for my drawing http://www.saatchionline.com/showdown/match/showdown/3/artist/79857/art/583246
Robert Hergane sorry, that is no artwork. its not gonna become a bestselling masterpiece like Picasso.
and, you've won the showdown because
you had a big bunch of friends, a lot of persons who have no idea of art.
its a big mistake to mix-up paintings and photos for a contest, i bet Rembrandt would eventually lose against a silly photo.
I remain an artist.

Ekaterina Golubina Hey
Miriam Sweeney. I like your work, it is definitely interesting art)
I wondering about the text, what is 'lifting'?
The horse appears to be moving forward, appearing through a static veil. Why have you use the horse in this sense?
Labor Robert congratulations!
you are a good artist
it's not the artwork i prefer in your own works
i like very much your drawings I see in your portefolio
Why oil paintings are accepted with too much difficulties in contemporary Art.I think it's a lack of formation in our périod
i renew my congratulations!
Good luck for the future
regards
labor
Robert Hergane WHOEVER SENDS THOUSANDS OF EMAILS, WINS THE SHOWDOWN. ITS A MATTER OF MAILING AND PROPAGANDA. NOT FAIR, NOT OBJECTIVE. THE GOOD ARTWORKS HAVE NO CHANCE...

I could stare at this piece for hours and still not get enough of it. I have to say so far on all the ones I've seen this one is my favorite. Very good work...very very good.
