Description: The Animals installation is my response to politically correct and decorative public art contests hosted by cities and towns worldwide. Consisting of over 40 painted fiberglass animals, they are first altered based on the circumstances or environment true to that animal, and then painted in the most arbitrary pc way possible. - Shark fins are regarded as a virility tonic in traditional Chinese medicine. The valuable fins are removed, while the remainder of the shark is then discarded, usually surviving this until it drowns in the heap of other finned sharks under the fishing boat, or is eaten by other predatory fish.
