Description: Every society has its institutions, and going back to the Greeks and Romans the theatre has been seminal in understanding the culture of a society. From the Greek amphitheatres to those which are left abandoned today there is an indication of lives past. Often the remnants of an era. Here we see the stage, the remnants of the seats, the light from the dome, and the odd construction of a plastic curtain at the front of the balcony. Maybe constructed as a divider, or protection against the elements from the broken skylight, this curtain is symbolic a shrouding this institution.
