This art work was created with a knitting machine technique. Multilayer texture is put together as a collage of an open composition, purposely finished in silver color. It’s a provocation, creating feeling of metallic structure. Single color allows revealing the richness of the relief of this technique.
Composition is unevenly sharp and ripped on the edges to create interest. Multilayer lace with strong texture of the material is ripped out of existing in imagination space. It’s a living form, in the process of creating the elements on a knitting machine, the elements under go cutting and shredding, followed by layering elements as a collage achieving desired volume. Cotton lace is used here only as building element. Composition “This was and is the same now” can be one of single elements repeated in different compositions. Strongly collaborating with light, form becomes organic being one of characteristic in my artistic creativity.
They had an initiation in single layered effects of knitting machine technique. Confidences in the use of this technique lead me to multilayer volumes ending in 3D spaces
