About The Artwork

JASA Description: JASA (Jewish Aeronautics and Space Administration) Space helmet designed for the Orthodox Jew, with elongated wings for the beard and braids, and a rim to mimic the hat worn by followers of this Faith. The Star of David, followed by the letters ASA, have been inscribed into the steel column. Texts from the Torah, mostly from the book of Genesis, have also been written on the helmet itself; to symbolize the transfer of beliefs from earth to the heavens (space).

Born 1970, London England. MFA from The Oslo National Academy of the Arts (KHiO). My current work deals with industrial products from distopian futures; space helmets designed for religious expansion in space, and bomb suits tailored for the mundane acts of shopping and child`s play in a future society gone bad.
