ETCHING IN DIPTYCH FORMAT

20”h x 26”w - Framed size (two etched zinc plates as one intaglio and aquatinted print with Chine collé mulberry bark paper overlay.)

The overall image measures 20.3 cm high by 31.75cm wide or 8 inches high by 12.5 inches wide [Each plate within image measures 8 inches high x 6 inches wide {20.3cm x 15.24cm}]; The print (paper) measures fifteen inches high (38.1cm) by eighteen inches (45.7cm) wide; Framed work measures twenty inches high by twenty-six inches wide (51cm x 66 cm).

Media: blended oil-based etching inks (Charbonnel brand form France) on French RivesBFK Cream printmaking paper; chine collé uses Thai Unryu Brand mulberry bark paper and methyl cellulose.

This etching is from my series entitled MYSTERIOUS PLACES/SACRED SPACES. The actual visual is taken from a work in The Library of Congress [Washington, DC - Photochrom Prints, Prints and Photographs Collection; (Call Number: LOT 13418, no. 234 [item] [P&P] ) ] which was executed in 1890 and published in 1900. It demonstrates my work in geometric form, color, and photographic-line-tension.
