This etching is also from my series entitled MYSTERIOUS PLACES/SACRED SPACES. The techniques employed include intaglio and aquatint. This work is presented in three very limited editions of only ten prints each (each executed in a different colors ink/paper combination). This edition of ten is executed in black etching ink (oil-based, Charbonnel Brand/France) on Rives BFK Gray Printmaking Paper (France). Image size is 8 inches high (20.3cm by 15.2cm) by 6 inches wide. Frame size is normally 16 inches by 12 inches (41 cm by 31 cm). Print size measures 15” high by 11” wide (38 cm x 28 cm). All framing materials are archival and included in price. Shipment costs vary.
The image is taken from an early black and white photograph (US Library of Congress, Washington, DC; 1908) of the Statue of Liberty (NYC, Bedloe’s Island) while it was under construction.
