This print is from my series entitled MYSTERIOUS PLACES/SACRED SPACES. The etching techniques include intaglio and drypoint. This work is from one very limited editions of twenty-five prints in my own blend of black oil-based ink [Charbonnel brand from France] printed on white RIVES BFK paper); the image represents one of the most sacred places in the Islamic faith, The Dome of the Rock in Jerusalem. Image size is ten inches wide (25.4 cm) by eight inches high (20.3 cm); paper size is eleven inches wide by fifteen inches high (28 x 38cm). Frame size is normally 40.64cm (16 inches) wide by 50.8 cm high (20 inches). The image is from a photograph in the US Library of Congress taken in 1890.
