Artist and Photographer In this age of glossy perfection, I strive to create images that serve as "counter-balance" to the notion that homogenous and uniform perfection is the ideal. Beauty derived from character, texture and variety (across the spectrum) where flaws are embraced and embellished. An examination of the body as "portrait" and story-telling tool. After many years working primarily with the traditional approach of photographing people's faces, I became interested in examining portions of the body separate from the face (traditional identity). I'm interested in exploring concepts of beauty and identity by compartmentalizing details often overlooked when examining the "whole".
