During recent travels in France, Cambodia, Vietnam and Laos I photographed several series of transient forms and marks on walls
and surfaces, which form unique atmospheric worlds, each with their own pictorial resonance or echo. Many are redolent of things half remembered,
some resemble fragments of old charts and maps, others feature overt elements of graphic representation. All display my continuing passion for colour
and painterly mark making. My intent was to frame these forms and subsequently print them exactly as found: the shapes, colour, and
textures, all discovered in the weathering, aeolian erosion, decay, water damage and patination, sometimes combined with centuries
of use, graffiti or repair to the fabric of the buildings, statues and woodwork, some ancient, and others more contemporary.
Each print is an original photograph of a limited edition of 20 and is signed by the Artist. Giclee printed on engraving paper.
