I focused on the image of Taipei that contains the present and the past simultaneously. My deepest impression of Taipei is the vehicle that a majority of peoples in Taipei uses-the scooter. Scenes of young girls riding scooters are common in Taipei. This scene conveys the existence of a middle area in between those who seek high-technology production mechanisms and those who insist on a path rooted in the tradition. Taipei exhibits itself as an "old friend" who cares less about forms and appearances but more about the practicality of things; and who is fascinating and actively taking good care of his life.
