Art Description

This work is part of the series " The World is a Detour", which looks at notions of identity and belonging by attempting to depict binary oppositions within the personality: child/adult, mum/daughter, native/alien, home/displaced, strong/ weak... The photographs explore narratives in the juxtaposition between seemingly opposing parts of the personality.

Mario Scattoloni GR8 concept & image. I love the fact that she seems to be only a half of a person...suggesting perhaps that she left behind that adult part of herself in that other world she occupies.
