With this work I continue my research on the photographic image in its relation to time, and the notion of the camera as an instrument of 'truth'.

The mode of 'becoming' is very visible in an infant, perhaps less so in an adult. These long exposure photographs capture some of this process.

In conversation with the mothers and fathers of the children portayed, it also became clear that the transition to parenthood is one of duality, itself comparable to a birth (which also implies the death of the old self); wonder and terror.
