Inuksuk are welcoming sign posts made of rock used in the far north of Canada as a guide to good camping sites. They are made from the ground rock they signify. They look like people with arms out stretched. Most recently a version (there is no one specific shape) was used as a symbol for the Vancouver 2010 winter Olympic Games. The image I have created is in the same spirit using found pavement and a painted crosswalk photographed and recreated. This binds the old and new in a dialogue.
