Hanne's Broken Hand I, II, III, and Hanne's Reconstructed Hand IV. 20 years ago, I made a plaster cast of my hand. Some years after the fingers broke and I decided to photograph my broken hand in different configurations. Henry Buhl, an avid collector of hand related art, made a calender of his collection which included Man Ray and Hanne's Broken Hand. This Calender was sent around the world. I was surprised when I got an email from a hand surgeon in Italy asking how quickly he could get the series of Hanne's Broken Hand.
