Keith Andrew Thanks Jennifer, watercolour is great for catching the freshness of snow. No white paint used though, its all masking fluid !

Jennifer Blenkinsopp is it really so all the white areas you have left the masking fluid on,? or do you mean you used masking fluid then painted the blue tones then took the masking fluid off ? i haven,t painted with watercolour now for about ten years , must admit seeing paintings like yours wants me to do some again.

Keith Andrew just to clarify - masking fluid is spattered and painted on the snow detail, washes painted over , fluid rubbed off, more paler washes painted over certain areas, all tightened with more detail twigs etc !
