Art Description

In a southeast corner of Buenos Aires, at the mouth of the Riachuelo, lies the old port, and the neighborhood that surrounds it is called La Boca. It is a crumbling vestige of the original city and is populated by Italian, Spanish, and German immigrants. Tango clubs, brothels, and taverns are intertwined with colorful clapboard buildings and disintegrating mansions.
