In this drawing I was inspired by the impressions of my grandmother and how my family continues to visit her grave and furnish it like a shrine. Even though we are Catholics, we still interestingly believe in Chinese Taoist practices like leaving oranges at my grandmother’s grave during Chinese New Year. My aunt also waters the plant at her grave with Coca-Cola, my grandmother’s favourite drink when she was still alive. The roses tumbling down from a point above symbolises my belief that my grandmother is in better worlds than this.
