This is a rare iconographic type. Christ is shown as a boy, waking from a sleep, as the angels bring to Him the instruments of His Passion. More common is the icon of Our Lady of Perpetual Help, where the composition centers of Christ and Mary and adds the detail of Christ dropping His sandal in vexation. Yes, the angels are my children.
