Lourdes Mieres This painting is part of a small series named "Ephemeral". It is rooted in vanitas style paintings: "memento moris" ('remember that you are going to die'). In spite of the fact that it represents the skeleton of a child, clearly showing death, this painting distils tenderness and frailty.
