I was born in the Dominican Republic and immigrated to the US at the age of four. In kindergarten I picked up my first brush and I knew from that early age that I would be an artist. I attended the High School of Art and Design where I studied commercial and fine art. I attended the School of Visual Arts, NY, where I earned both BFA and MFA degrees. Soon after graduating school I began exhibiting in group shows. My goal is to create a painting that is compositionaly sound. The viewer is invited to create their own interpretation of the narrative presented.
