My paintings use interiors as doorways to another reality. A reality in which our perception or time and space is altered by the atmospheric rendering of traditional rooms. I apply the paint in drippy, washy veils of color with large brushes and then add details to suggest object art and baroque furniture. The mood this atmospheric field creates is one of mystery and timelessness.
