    Richard T Scott Well, to answer your question: before people bought meat in little plastic wrapping, they had to skin and prepare it themselves. In many places in Europe this isn't considered grotesque at all, but simply dinner. To me there's something macabre about the factory production of food and how distant we've become from its source.
