Propelled by the aftermath of 9/11, the painter created what she hoped would be a visual anchor for viewers. The Saddhu transcends the affairs of man, and avoids the negative vortex created by traumatic events. The higher grounds from which he views life affords him a larger perspective. We too, have the opportunity to view life from a watchtower, and choose not to be manipulated by negative forces that create separation and distrust of our fellow man.
