'Hornet Sting' 10X10 oil on steel, ready to hang - original $300 This painting is a square painting on steel with a small amount of intentional rusting. The Bottom of the painting has exposed steel. It's called Hornet Sting because my mom got stung by a hornet right when I was finishing this. I was painting outside for the first time of the season at my mom's in the country. I was so happy, my painting felt so pretty, except for these hornets that wouldn't leave us alone. It made me realize that sometimes the most beautiful things can sting us... or not. I wasn't stung... by the hornet anyway.
