One of a series of seven works I painted in Vancouver Canada for a show entitled: The Ocean, the Forest, and Whats Between The idea was to respond in a creative way to what it was like to be living in North Vancouver. This is an area of the city built along a thin strip of habitable land located between the Pacific Ocean to the West, and the 5,000 foot North Shore forested mountains to the East. Forest Two is one of three paintings depicting the forest element, there are three works depicting the human, three depicting the ocean, and one large painting which is a combination of all three.
