The past and dreams, the process of forgetting and reasons behind keeping certain facts from daily life are some of the main subjects of my research. I repeatedly jump back to the past in order to confront myself with what I remember compared with the reality of black and white pictures, which have now become unfamiliar to me.
I recently have been working on a new project titled ‘Engines’. Each one is 100 cm square that I refer to as ‘dream units’. Each one consisted of 28 elements chosen at random by computer software especially written for this purpose. The final result (picture) is coincident, it is not something that I have seen, experienced or dreamed of. The picture could be representation of some situation or element of everyone's dream, past or fantasise. The title refers to the concepts behind the process of remembering and the remanding parts of dreams or situations. It intends to confront viewers with a daydreaming like experience.
