My paintings are inspired by fleeting images of everyday life and are really an examination of memory – memories of childhood.
I start each work by translating, editing and interpreting 'found' images. I put plenty of space into the compositions and emphasise only what is important to me. This allows me to load the pictures with a sort of uneasy tranquility that I find very interesting.
Adnan Meatek Wonderful masterpiece , I like it so..

Ilona Szalay Hi David,
I like this painting - especially the woman's feet which seem to say so much, so succinctly. I remember your piece from the Threadneedle (I had a small painting on glass in the room next door). Where are you showing at the moment?
Best wishes,
Ilona Szalay
