karien deroo what a great new painting!
I like the position of the figures, repetitive the same man, the contrast of the naked body and the clothes, the way they're standing there in the water...it has something theatrale, love it, and a touch of Turner in the sky...
nice painting!
Guenter Pusch Hi Richard, I vote for your fantastic canvas, thanks also for your comments. I will ask you, if you vote for me, if you like my piece, good luck, Guenter
Lia Melia Have been trying to vote, but the bracket seems to have been frozen for the last four hours or so, the numbers not changing. Are you seeing the same? Also, have only been able to get one message out, despite not being in the Showdown myself.

Lia Melia By the way, this is superb work - your whole portfolio.
Nicola Stratford Congratulations. A very powerful and beautiful piece. Delighted it will see the light of day, given its history of being removed from another site by prudes.

Daniel Scott I have interpreted this fluid transition from life adolescence blurred in the confusion of self feeling of something prior. Then fluidly, the motion transpires to the Proud Mid life clarity of self being yet still in a mist of childhood confusion.
He glances to the side to see an older vision of his self, with clouding thoughts and memories blur back into the mist of his adolescence, while the shadow of death lurks, but yet is it Death's shadow or the next life only to be the next unknown. - DS
Tracie Thomas Congrats. I don't know why they would censor art. It's not distasteful in the least. Ah well, their loss. It's a beautiful painting. Oh I so wish I could paint even half like you. Not to mention the bodies...so beautiful. I'm so jealous! Love your work.
Lia Melia Yet another peon of praise, Richard; and also this; my humble thanks for the generosity of spirit you have demonstrated by devoting so much time and attention to addressing my concerns, and for supplying an invaluable critique. You are the stuff great artists and human beings are made of.

Aurelio Sahagun Pool My sincerest congratulations. You go farther and farther in the marriage of form and meaning! I guess the wound has nothing to do with doubting Thomas. It is more than a wound. And the repetition of autoportraits, more than three, because there is another fourth, and the different states of arousal should make people think much deeper than those in Facebook! Great!

Rafal Podgorski Ok. Everybody are satisfacioned. But, tell me why You are trying to compare You self to Jesus? In your thinking and painting doesn't seen any similar philosophy way and thinking as Jesus? It's a kind a perversion? Like for me easy way... easy painting...sory
