Flat bleak landscape near Gt Yarmouth; the most dangerous road in Norfolk is flanked by this scene. Reed beds, brambles, the Cantley chimney smoking in the distance, painted with contrasting milky and acidic colours.
Marie Jamieson Claire, I think this painting is superb! Even though it is presented in bleak, flat style, it is Very Alive. I love the contrast between the thought of "the most dangerous road in Norfolk" and the alive greenery esp. in the forefront of the painting. This is Lovely!

Claire Cansick Thanks so much Marie. The last third of the painting took several attempts to come together, was a bit of a wrestling match but I think I got there in the end. Am hoping to make it one of a series.
