Through this new phase of poetics and evolution, Marco Angelini works literally on the “shape of words”, used not only as “signifiers” but particularly as visual and sign-like elemental components: graphemes freed from their phonic bond. Translated into shapes and colours, words are elected real contribution/essence to the graphic composition of the piece.
Through a socio-semiotic operation Marco Angelini leads us to “draw the colours” focusing on the evolutionary logic of language and on that “spatial” relativity that is inner to any language.
And this is how a word turns into image, pictorial expression capable of autonomously carrying a non linguistic message or content; it is an IDEOGRAM in its literal sense, with its own precise iconic meaning expressed through the picture, through the “painted word” .
