Energy and light coalescing to become matter in the form of an obelisk...a singularity. A kind of reverse of a nuclear explosion. Composition gold leaf, copper leaf, chemical oxidation, oil on panel.

Steven DaLuz Richard...yes I was. I have no idea what photo was so offensive it deserved disabling my account! And I don't know who would have such a sensitive (vindictive) constitution they would feel the need to report it. Not much I can do about it.

Otto Rapp Steven - I had put this in my collection of my showdown favorites. I voted for it some time ago already! My friend Richard Scott passed on some news about vote counts, and I need to tell you I experienced the same, as did one other friend. Just wondering how many more are out there? Since then, my count seems frozen in spite of many confirmed votes. I am not going to speculate now, but am awaiting the outcome of this contest.

Margaret R Murphy Dear Stephen, I was perplexed that you deleted me as a friend on facebook. I was wondering did I offend you in anyway, but to my knowledge I feel I did not. But I have just logged on here and it seem that facebook closed you account. This just does not make sense at all as I am familiar with all of your paintings and there was never anything that was in bad taste. Would you not start up a new page as I am aware of another artist that was in the same position as you. They just started over again

Steven DaLuz Thank you, Lia--you are very kind. As you probably know...this contest really is not so much about the quality of the artwork. It is entirely based upon who can muster the most votes. That's unfortunate--but, that's the way it is I'm afraid. :)
