acrylic painting on canvas 100x100cm. Transformation is a part of a series of so far ten paintings that I started to work with in Rome. I have always been interested in investigating the realms of real and imagined worlds through visionary expression and to traversing the distance between them. Transformation is inspired by my research of ancient cultures and myths, an interest of mine that was very strong while living in Rome. It also mirror backs at society's cultural obsession with vampires and supernatural beings that have grown very strong the last years. The painting show a woman that is undergoing some kind of transformation.
