About The Artwork
This painting was inspired by the courage a glass of wine gave me! I had been working for weeks on another painting, when I realized it just wasn't working. After a glass of cabernet, whitewashed my canvas and erased all evidence of my weeks of struggle. I stumbled across an image I liked which prompted me to paint it immediately- that night. The result was this painting... which came so much easier. It took me a couple of days to finish. I used Photoshop to manipulate the photo I liked (a Tom Ford makeup ad). It is from that photoshopped image that I created this painting. I wanted it to appear graphic in style, yet have visible brushstrokes when you're up close. This painting is professionally framed in an aluminum frame (value of frame is $800).
