If I had to describe what I paint, I'd say I paint the psychic reality. Although i'm interested in the outer world, I treat it as a repository of intricate and complex forms, that inspire me, and provide me with metaphors to show the world that is more closed, hidden, my/human inner world of unconscious thought, phantasy, and intuition.
When it comes to my paintings from 'Mental Landscapes' cycle, I don't have a pre-established composition in my head. I start painting from a random point on a canvas, and patterns organizing other elements spring in circles around it building an image. In my method I'm half automatic, creating links between different and half random elements. The most uncanny in my procedure is the fact that I cannot predict the end result of my painting.
I find my inspirations in technical, complicated mechanical artifacts and machines, and their intricate forms correspond with my image of unknown workings of human mind.
