Art Description

This is a detail of the Mayan painting installation. I incorporated larger shapes around the canvas to be considered as rocks or maybe found objects or artifacts. The string in the installation brings the element of excavation into the compositon. It crosses the shape acting as a grid used in archaeology to locate and document where shapes were found and unearthed at.
