The Delaware and Hudson Building, Albany Evening Journal Builiding and Hudson River Day Line Ticket Office are featured in this scene of Broadway in downtown Albany, New York. Designed by Marcus Reynolds, the railroad and newspaper headquarters was inspired by the 13th-century Cloth Hall in Ypres, Belgium. The exteriors of the Albany buildings are lavished with symbolic details relating to printing and the history of Albany. The copper weathervane atop the central tower represents Henry Hudson's ship the Half Moon.
