This art work is pure minimalism and color field painting. The blue is broken by four horizontal zig zag lines that could be reminiscent of Aztec indigenous art, or any indigenous art based on geometric forms. The blue is a deep blue that has some purple in it, especially the underlying layer. The painting surface is Arches 300 lb. watercolor paper which has the lovely deckle edge finish to contrast with the hard edge of the lines.
