Wanderland is a itinerant multimedia project based on the aesthetics of contemporary nomadism and the theme
of wandering as an artistic approach, initiated by Audrey Anastasy and Marine Nyiri.
This project is the combined result of many reflections on notions of border and identity linked to the territory,
as well as conceptual and theoretical research on the aesthetics of perpetual moving.
Wanderland is inspired by the desire to explore the notion of wandering through an artistic aspect, we work
on a multitude of territories chosen randomly or by affinity with the place and explored by an intellectual,
contemplative ,anthropological or personnal point of view. Besides wandering, Wanderland is interested
by the concept of house as an emotional, psychological and mental place , and the individual effects on it.
The road and the movement involves two phases: the movement and the brutal stop.
The works presented in the exhibition Wanderland correspond to one or the other issues; Wandering physics
related to movement, is organized around the themes of the road and the landscape and sets the emotional
and aesthetic side of the project. In a contemporary context of return of the time, the stop symbolises
a sidelines way to think ,(the road of life, way of collective life ) to provide an analytical look on the world,
especially crossing places, and non-places.
Wanderland is an infinite project because, opposed to travel and according to wandering , it does not induce
the prospect of a return.
