This work was inspired by a story from the Aboriginal Dreamtime about three celestial beings that came down to tempt the young men. The elders got upset about this as the men stopped doing there work, so they set fire to the mountain and the beings went underground and that’s how the Lakes were formed. Originally I was going to three panels representing the three beings and I will probably do that as a seperate work later on down the track.

It involved months of planning and research. Using photo manipulation in photoshop then drawing in pastel on canvas, then taking that into photoshop and developing it further, then finally doing the pastel and gold leaf version that you see here today on the canvas.
