These hand embroidered cabinet cards date back to the late 1800s. Each measures 4 inches by 6 1/2 inches with the threads hanging down an additional 5 1/2 inches. They are backed with gray wool felt and hang with tiny brass rings. The pieces connect with threads going from the woman's heart to the man's. These photos were taken in Jefferson, Iowa.
