“Last week K. Miloslavskii presented the new series of collages called “The Witches of Night”. Now, reminding what I’ve seen, I ask myself, where the young contemporary artist takes these penetrating picturesque chords, these scraps of substance, these carved stripes, the unreal pressure of which merge us in the prehistoric times of the Universe?
Where come these explosions of paint’s substance from, this flowing of Nature elements, this spectral irruption of form’s grandeur, which ritually reconsider the substance and give it original essence of emotional impulse?
What’s the reason of that daring interpretation of such unexpected theme? The reason for creation of this series is the name given by German invaders during The World War II to the female pilot detachment, based in Krasnodar. The artist derives from this theme the fantastic nature of what happened, she mythologizes it. The picture brings us to take part in wild savage ceremonies, it takes us away from platitude and semblance, carries us along in dancing and rhythms, the memory of which we’ve lost…”
