When I first lived in San Francisco my nearest neighborhood for shopping was Japantown. I have been shopping in Japantown a few times a month ever since. My branch library also is nearby and has a large collection of Japan-related books in both English and Japanese. One winter day in 2009 I found a book of traditional Japanese textile patterns, this is one of the results of that discovery.
