My art is uniquely created by tearing and individually painting pieces of canvas, assembling them together to form the final artwork.
Koi fish feed by filtering out edible material from the bottom of waterways. They stir up the silt which can render the water bad for swimming or drinking. Historically they were released to beautify ornamental ponds but are now a serious threat to NZ environment. Metaphorically this speaks to me about letting 'things' lie - do not re-disturb that which has been left to rest and also, the wisdom of chasing an idea of beauty at the expense of what is already naturally beautiful.
