Description: The Artists Dress , The Trianon Gallery, Lethbridge, Alberta.

This piece began with a a personal artifact. A childs dress. My dress. Thoughts developed; the history of women in Western Art, my personal experiences as a female artist, ideas about the female body, fashion, the history of paints and dyes in Europe. Not many people dared pick up the outer layer of the dress to read the text part of the installation done on the petticoat. Most that I saw at the opening of the show, engaged the work by walking around the dress and struggling to read through the turquoise sheer.
