I sew all these small pieces to each other and also I sew a continuous Persian pattern on the marginal pieces with green threads (Symbol of Freedom for Iranians!). I also ask my foreign friend to cooperate on sewing these patterns; As if they put themselves in my shoes!
“Censorship is beautiful! “. The reason is that I believe in societies that are limited and filtered due to conventions or religion, art forms change to patterns and abstraction. Although some of these forms might have Symbolic meanings, Persian patterns might just be free of any meanings but eye catching and beautiful!
In other words, “taboos” led to some abstract patterns such as patterns that we see on Persian carpets or Islamic architecture. Persian patterns and textures on these carpets are beautiful, aren’t they?!!! I use these patterns to hide some political news from my country! I also sew these patterns on some very private parts of my virtual life! You could hardly see behind these patterns although you might find out a bit about what is censored!!!
