Aconcept very frequently used on my last work, is the idea of showing the picturewindow. I usefigurative elements, particularly the landscape. Above those figurativeelements, I superimpose“abstracts” geometric shapes; sometimes it is seen in thelandscape and simultaneosly in otherspacial plane in front of the landscape, like if itwas in an inner space and through a window wecould see the outer space. That’svery close to Magritte’s art “Cuadros ventana”(“Windows-pic-tures”). Technically, I usetraditional methods such as acrylic, and new technologies such asphotographyand digital processes. I photograph or paint rural landscapes, I manipulate the detailed landscapes, like the peasant inthe land. That is the footprintthat I left on the landscape.
