A series of my paintings represents an authentic story out of my childhood which is connected to a special man called „Anga“. Thanks to him the capacity of speaking returned to me. Therefore I dedicated the cycle „Anga“ to him.
For my third birthday, my parents gave me a sailor suit as a present. From that moment on, I was allowed to go to buy bread at the bakery, for the family, on my own. One day, shortly after my birthday, at the beginning of the summer, I was strutting towards the bakery, dressed in my new costume. Suddenly a shepard dog pounced on me, threw me down to the ground and grabbed my neck. A courageous and strong pedestrian owerpowered in a split second the mentally disturbed dog and strangled him, till no more life-sign showed up...
The event was followed by traumatic consequences: I lost the capacity of speaking – I remained mute. Wether the doctors nor my parents considered the situation as a serious one. None of them had the faintest idea of the tedious and prolonged healing process waiting ahead, till it would come to recovery. The applying of conventional medicine had been ineffective. Drawing was only way to communicate with the outside world.
