I had a wonderful teacher who taught me that no matter how technically good an artist is, if they do not paint from the heart and soul, they said nothing. I paint because I have to, and from the...

karien deroo This is a beautiful drawing Lia, with these warm colors and the fragile light glowing up from the figures in the back...it gives the work something sacred in my opinion, because you mentioned that you made up this work with the word "never", only this word...and your title, the Never Room can be a place of lost dreams, maybe?
It's an emotional piece, I think..., a very special idea to write the whole paper full with just one word.
    Great work Lia!

Lia Melia Thank you very much for these words karien, and yes, I forgot to say in my description; The Never Room is the place of lost dreams, hopes and aspirations, and the acceptance that so it is; we all have a "Never" room.

Lia Melia I really like that idea Pavel; if I created a tunnel instead of a room, I could be Alice falling foul of the rabbit hole...
Thanks to you all, for engaging with me me in my first drawing for 20 years!

Iliana Tosheva Lia, what I love most about your art is that each piece you create can be interpreted in so many ways! I love the lightness and effortlessness of The Never Room; I love the see through walls tempting the viewer into the unknown, no fear there, just going through and into another dimension; very fairy tale effect! Beautiful work.

Joe Tymkow Hi Lia, I really like the sense of light, depth and the ethereal quality of the work. It is indeed a departure from your usual style, but it still works none-the-less. The multi-layering of the text adds an attractive depth without cluttering the image. Well done.
